Scottie Pimpen is a Louise, Mississippi-born emcee/songwriter and the CEO of Smokehouse Entertainment. He gained public recognition as an emcee with the release of retail albums as 1/3 of the group Love City Players, then launched his solo career with “Mackbook” — a project filled with unapologetic street commentary and the lyrical skill and wordplay that motivates and inspires those who strive to be the best. Its single, “Run Up A Check,” buzzed throughout the region and set the tone for everything that followed.
He’s since expanded that catalog with “Boss Mode” and his latest album, “The Player Wave,” anchored by new singles “Too Much” and “I’m That Man.” Each release sharpens his sound and pushes his ambitions as a CEO, artist and performer. Scottie Pimpen remains focused on growing the Smokehouse Entertainment brand and releasing music from the most talented, determined artists he can find — it’s his dream to make Smokehouse Entertainment a modern-day No Limit Records, and he won’t stop until that dream is realized.
